This is apparently what Shiseido's new Color-Smart Oil-Free SPF Day Moisturizer claims to do and I'm always open to trying out new tinted moisturizers for everyday use. Formulated with a variety of skincare ingredients, this product is a 2-in-1 for busy bees on the go.
So, did it work out for me?
Claims:
According to the Shiseido website, the Color-Smart Oil-Free Day Moisturizer is a "skin-brightening tinted day moisturizer that adapts to your skin color to enhance the skin tone and helps protect the skin against UV rays with long-last, oil-free hydration." This product is meant for all skin types, is dermatologist tested, non-comedogenic, paraben-free and oil-free.
The Good:
- Good, lasting coverage
- Easy, quick application
- Includes SPF 30, skincare benefits
- Moisturizing
The Bad:
- Light "color-smart" shade
- Only suits those with pink undertones
- Pricey
Final Verdict:
Although I like where Shiseido was going with this product, like a lot of "color-smart" BB creams, it will only suit those with lighter skin and pink undertones. However, I will say that this provided more coverage than any other product of this nature I've used before (light-medium) and it was cool to see the product go from white to a skin shade. Overall, it was easy to apply with no streaks or blotchiness and lasted throughout my work days.
Since I have tan, yellow undertone skin, I won't be reusing this product. However, I would definitely recommend it otherwise. Note that there are 2 versions of the Color-Smart Day Moisturizer: oil-free and not.
